Post 7: Changes To My Study Programme 馃摎 馃枆

As this semester is coming to an end, I will end with a post about the things that I would like or think should be changed in my career, in every aspect.
I'll start with the most important thing, the curriculum. Personally I see the need to reduce the number of subjects that the university requires you to take per semester to meet the credits in the total duration of the career, often because of this there are problems of schedule constraints, a situation that generates having to choose which subject to choose between 2 even if both are very important, delaying the year of completion of the studies, which in turn translates into another problem for those who study with gratuity, me for example, because this only covers the real duration of the career.

Another issue, quite important, is the academic load that we receive as students, at least in chemistry and pharmacy. It seems to me very unhelpful to fill students with evaluations in the same week, as this makes it difficult to focus well on a single subject and thus achieve a correct performance and learning, often due to lack of time certain things are left aside to obtain a sufficient score to pass everything, when we could get a better one in all.

Due to the previous point, I am convinced that for the university our mental health is of no importance, it's as if they forget that many of us not only study, we also work, we have responsibilities in our homes and a social life or recreational time that is extremely important, however the latter is almost demonized by the older ones and by the universities, as if it were a luxury when it's a basic necessity.

Regarding the infrastructure of my faculty, I think the only thing I would change would be the tables that we use in face-to-face classes, they are really small and it's impossible to have our notebooks, pencils and calculator together without one of them falling on the floor. Also, although isn't a necessity, I feel that it wouldn't be bad to put ventilation or air conditioning in days where the temperature is so high, although it sounds stupid, many times the heat is so unpleasant that prevents us from concentrating on what the teacher is saying.
To conclude, I think that most teachers have a good teaching method, so I don't have anything I would really want to change.
