Post 1: South Korea
One country I have always wanted to travel to is South Korea, because of the many things you can do, get or witness there. Of these things, the ones that catch my attention the most are the karaoke rooms, where you can sing along with your friends in a private room and choose the songs, there are also streets full of makeup and cosmetic shops for skin care and I love that, the best of all is the fact that it's a country that never stops, you can find shops working perfectly in the early hours of the morning or nigth (24 hrs), at any time of the day.
There are many things I have learned about South Korea and one of the things I admire the most is the speed with which they went from being one of the poorest countries after the Japanese invasion to a developing country with an excellent economy, which is becoming more and more known for its striking gastronomy, music and cinematic art.
If I ever get to travel there, I would like to visit the famous Jeju Island, the Hongdae district, where young people go to dance, drink, sing karaoke, and you can see a lot of groups of people dancing incredibly well in the streets. I would also like to be able to go to a photo shoot programme, because in South Korea they have a very high production for it, where you can choose the type of clothes, the theme and they have a team that will do your hair and make-up if you want.
Although there are many things about this country that I find incredible, I wouldn't like to go to work or live there, cause I'm aware of how competitive and demanding they are in Korean society, also the fact that a considerable amount of citizens of the country tend to be very racist and unfair with foreigners, in fact there are clubs or bars that prohibit entry to foreigners because they consider them problematic just because of their race.
Hi Valentina, North and Soth Korea are countries that I would like to visit, definetly!
